Between La Canada High School and Altadena in Northwest Pasadena is this 1300-acre park in the Arroyo Seco that extends north into the San Gabriel Mountains. The museum’s collection was first housed in its own dedicated room as part of the new Civic Auditorium in 1932. It outgrew that space by 1958, so it was transferred to the Pasadena Public Library, where it was maintained by its own volunteers.
